Miners get a preview of region opponents in Badlands Conference Meet.




The Miners headed to the school out east "Hazen" for the Badlands Conference Meet on Thursday April 24th. The Miner Girls finished 2nd overall out of 15 teams while the Boys placed 9th out of 15 teams. The Badlands meet is an early showing of the region meet with 11 of the 15 teams being from the South West Region.


The Girls had on event Event Champ in Hannah McGraw in Pole Vault. Hannah had a great day going 9'9" which moved to 3rd all time for the school Top 10. Hannah did take 3 quality attempts at the School Record of 10'1". The Girls did have five 2nd place finishes. # of which came from Addison Schepp who state qualified the the 300m hurdles and Long Jump. This moves her to having 4 events qualified for the state meet. Addison also took 2nd in the 100m hurdles. Malayah Williams took 2nd in Shot put and Vienna Tolosky an 8th grader taking 2nd in the 3200m. Two girls did enter the top 10 school list in the Discus with Paige Sailer throwing 109' 1" and Tori Ziman throwing 102' 4". The Girls team looks to build off this strong showing Friday in Rugby!


The Boys Also had 1 event champ on the day with an 8th grader Cooper Schepp in the 300m Hurdles. Cooper ran a 42.78 which is .34 seconds off qualifying. Cooper moved up to 4th all time in the school top 10. The boys had 1 2nd place finish on the day with the 4x800 relay team. Members of the team are Austin Mittlesteadt, Hudson Scheurer, Owen Ziman, and Brady Keller. The boys also got points out of the two short relays, shot put, discus, long jump, another placer in the 300m hurdles. The boys look to continue their growth on Friday in Rugby and hope to pick up their first state qualifier as well.



The Miners are back on the Track and Fields Friday April 25th in Rugby for their back to back meet days.
